I would be hard pressed to defend BW on any of the criticism leveled against it. It's just simply been a massive bungle from the beginning. Intentional sabotage could hardly have inflicted more damage.

"Alias with Bionics" is far too flattering. "Alias without the interesting bad guys" is again a much too glowing description. I honestly can't imagine people shelling out for the DVD set.

As I've mentioned before, the best thing that could happen to BW, aside from not getting canceled, would be for all concerned with the show to be force fed at least the first 3 seasons of "Alias", and then sent to their rooms to come up with something that wouldn't embarrass their profession, not to mention leave the rest of us in stunned disbelief at how such a great premise could be so badly mismanaged.

Just look at a partial list of the problems:
-no suspense
-no danger
-no complexity
-no continuity (Anthros Sr, Sarah, Euro guy on side of mountain)
-no cliffhanger
-no hint of an end game
-no rivalry
-no point to Becca
-no point to Jae
-no point to Ruth
-no point to boyfriend
-cartoonish portrayal of Sarah
-Jaime's bathroom rape scene

It just goes on and on and there's only 8 eppies.

If BW is to continue, and I really hope it does, it cannot be successful without serious soul-searching and then NBC rolling out a brand new show. Who knows, maybe retain the cast and rename the show so they can go in a new direction (like that's gonna happen).

As for what Lee and Lindsay think of Michelle and Co.. Who cares?

Lee Majors has criticised the new version of Bionic Woman.
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/cult/a88862/lee-majors-criticises-bionic-woman.html

The actor, who played cyborg Steve Austin in The Six Million Dollar Man, said he prefers the original series.

The US remake stars former EastEnders actress Michelle Ryan as Jaime Sommers, the role made famous by Lindsay Wagner in the 1970s.

Majors, 68, told This Morning: "It's not as good as the one back then. It's too dark, too sci-fi and too edgy for kids.

"Lindsay was warm and you felt more in tune with her. The new show has this little English actress and you couldn't warm up to her as you did with Lindsay."

Wagner also criticised the show last November, branding it too "broody and violent".

NBC is expected to pull the plug on the series after ratings plummeted in the US.

However, Bionic Woman has found a fan in Victoria and David Beckham's oldest son Brooklyn. Ryan revealed that the eight-year-old loves the programme and asked to meet her, saying: "He's hooked on the show. How cool is that?"
