The ad has been playing since Saturday night on the main ITV1 Channel also during breaks in the I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here show
I find it kinda ironic they should start promoting the show just as it seems cancellation is hours/days/weeks away?
I must admit i am hoping this means ITV have inside information regarding the future of the show and its going to continue!!!!!

The channel’s main web site, http://www.itv.com now includes the full 2-minute trailer for the pilot. They seem to have changed the music, for no particular reason.

Michelle Ryan is a household name in Britain and there has been media interest in her casting since it was announced. I expect that many Britons who were not born when the original series ran will watch this one just because she is in it.

Thanks for the headsup guys! That’s a good point ryan, I sure hope ITV have some insider info!
Gary, that’s interesting that they’ve changed the music (perhaps trying to market it to a UK audience?)..I wonder what else they will change!?

You should not read anything into the fact that British TV will show BW. British TV channels set their schedules 3 to 6 months in advance, so ITV2 would have set its slots long ago.

The British practice for freshman shows is to shoot the entire series, usually 13 episodes, before the first airs. The series is then allowed to run in its planned slot. At the end of the series, the TV company reviews rating and media reaction to the show. If these are favourable, another series is commissioned for the next year. BBC America staples like Doctor Who, Torchwood, MI5, Life on Mars and Robin Hood all began this way.

There are plenty of precedents for a British TV channel showing an American series after it had been cancelled.

Sorry I cannot be more encouraging…

I just wonder whether there was any loophole that could have got ITV out of the deal they made to buy BW for the UK? If there was a loophole and yet they chose not to take it then I could believe that they have some inside info that the show will be safe..if there was no way for them to get their money back then I agree that this might not be as encouraging as it seems, as it makes sense for them to air the episodes and get their moneys worth from the UK viewers.
I guess I should mention that ITV still bought Jericho after it got cancelled..although this was probably because she show was re-birthed?..hmm. But yeah, I can see your point Gary, I guess we need NBC to confirm or otherwise.
