I hope that they do indeed give BW a chance to succeed. However they may be waiting to see what the ratings are for episode 1.08 before they make a final decision.

My concern here is that there has been so much negative talk on various websites, forums, blogs etc that a lot of people are saying… “we’ll just wait till you guys tell us its worth giving it a go!!??!” This just seems wrong to me because if you want to give something a go you should do just that - watch it (eg BW) for yourself and make up your own minds. Sadly by the time you do decide to do this it may well be too late.

At the end of the day I think that NBC will end up sayiong they had to make a purely commercial decision and, as I have previously stated, will just use the strike and associated costs to pull the plug:(

I live in hope that the show gets another chance, especially now that the behind the scenes dramas have settled down, but all the doomsayers have me convinced that ep 1.08 will be the last one.

I just did what JoL suggested and voted. I wont’ add any more negativity by saying what the % was of those who said BW was their favorite; I am going totally positive into episode 1.08. I want to thank Michelle, Michael, Nathan, Kate, David, all the actors, producers, and yes, even the writers, all of whom put a lot of hard work into the show. They deserve our thanks, and while we can critique the final product, their efforts to create a product deserve our appreciation. Whatever happens after Wednesday night, I will be grateful for their efforts. As Gene Hackman said to his basketball team in the movie “Hoosiers”, on the eve of their make or break game, I say to the BW team on the eve of theirs; “If you put your heart and soul into it, if you give it everything you got, I don’t care what the scoreboard says at the end of the game, in my book, we’re going to be winners”.

I think that we can expect an announcement of somesort in the coming days - after the last complete episode has aired tomorrow. I think that you both have the right attidude as you support the show because you want to and don’t bow to the pressure from those who (sometimes unfairly) knock it. It would be great if people did as JoL suggested and tune in to tomorrows episode - even if it’s the last one, it will be good to go out on a high. It will be sad if the show ends for good tomorrow, as I genuinely had VERY high expectations for it and it ’should’ have been better. But it’s still been very enjoyable discussing the show (and the drama surrounding it) and the comments that people like yourselves have made on the blog have made it all the more worthwhile. But hey, I’m not giving up yet..who knows what NBC might do!
