I appreciate your comments Page 48, you make alot of good points. Though there has been a marked improvement, it's still so unbelieveable at the moment. I struggle to buy so many of the things they want me to believe. I like a challenge when watching TV, but first I have to believe, or be able to buy into the things which are going on in the show. You make a good point about the level of excitement..thinking about it, this was by FAR the most exciting episode..and 8 episodes in that is just not good enough. The show is crying out for action, tension and cool sequences (as well as a good narrative etc), but it's still not right. I really hope the people in charge, the writers and all those who can actually implement the changes, listen to the constructive critisms of the fans. I do want the show to do well and I do think it can turn it around, but like you suggested..it might an entirely brand new plan.

Roco, your criticisms are valid. I had high expectations before this thing got off the ground and they haven't lived up to any of them yet. Although, like you, I see marked improvement of late.

Tom just doesn't work for me. As you says, he's nowhere near CIA material. He's not even son-in-law material. The CIA guys on "Chuck" are more believable than Tom. Jason Bourne is what I expect the CIA to look like. Bourne never has a light moment, he's looking over his shoulder 24/7, he's nothing but all business, all the time. Give me some of that.

Jaime's stakeout was so sloppy. Yakking on the phone with the stud-muffin caused her to have to make a spectacle of her bionicness in the streets, resulting in attention-getting vehicular carnage. Nothing remotely professional going on here.

Jonas is like the night watchman at Burket. He's always there, but he doesn't do a damn thing. Maybe he could make coffee for the crew or something like that. He needs to screw on a silencer and pop somebody in a dark ally. Becca is gonna start calling him Uncle Jonas by midseason, he's just that cuddly.

Ruth and Jae are furniture. Maybe with Anotonio out of the way (although Corvus looked like she was dead for a while, too), Ruth and Jae might do something to justify their existence.

This episode was the first one that featured ANY kind of excitement at all. So far, as much as I expected this show to be a tension filled thrill ride, I have to admit that I've had more adrenaline pumping through my system listening to the Waltons saying "goodnight" to each other. This HAS to be addressed.

You would think that the ever-declining viewership would set off all kinds of alarm bells at NBC. Surely they are hearing all kinds of feedback from the disgruntled masses.

With the writers currently pounding the pavement, it might me a good time to rethink BW and come back with a brand new plan. It seems so obvious what needs to be done, but is the will there to do it?

I thought it was between him and Michelle because they owned most of the screentime in this one. I thought MR was good but I thought Isaiah just pipped it because he tread carefully along the line of 'trust him'/'don't trust him'. On the whole, I thought it was a strange (but good) episode because for me there were no 'stand-out' performers. Hehe, I thought you'd be pleased with his death:P ..I take it you wont be watching his spin-off series then? ;)

Best actor of the episode? Roco, are we watching the same bigoted actor, Isaiah Washington? His performance was once again boring and my least favorite of the episode. However, his death scene did bring a sigh of relief to me as I knew he would not be returning.

Regarding Washington, we will have to agree to disagree.

[...] Roco at Bionic Blog I thought the episode had a much better ‘feel’ to it - I sensed that something big was at stake, despite Jaime’s laid back approach, this made the show much more exiting. Although I felt they dragged certain scenes out for longer than necessary on occasions, thus losing that extra ‘edge’. [...]
