Jesse Wallace, former Eastenders co-star of Michelle Ryan, tells itv.com that she is pleased for Ryan, and that she really deserves the opportunities that she is receiving.

From Zoe Slater to the Bionic Woman is some transition for Michelle Ryan and her former EastEnders colleague, Jessie Wallace, is delighted for her.

The stunning Brit who made her name in the London-based TV soap as part of the Slater family is expected to be back on our screens later this year in the legendary role.

Her former on-screen mum is chuffed she’s doing so well, saying: “I’m pleased for her. I think she really really deserves it.”

Wallace also left Albert Square back in 2005, but the close knit lives the on-screen characters lead hasn’t translated into real life as she says she has lost touch with most of her former co-stars.

The 35-year-old actress is also doing well having landed a role in a new comedy series called People Like Us.

So expect to see both the former EastEnders stars back on our TVs soon.
