The Bleex is a wearable robotic system that turns its wearer into a person of incredible strength. It makes possible the carrying of load of up to 200 pounds with no more effort or strain that it would take to carry 10 pounds. Its mechanism is based on the understanding of the human gait. The system was created through the design of a novel actuation procedure, a network of sensors, a pair of computer-controlled strap-on robotic legs and an intelligent algorithm. Bleex was created to follow the wearer’s gait faithfully while carrying major loads.
The embedded sensors and computers in the robotic legs act like an extension of a person’s own nervous system which gathers information on the direction being moved while continually redistributing the weight to make it feel like a barely perceptible burden.
