You’re right it is a “sensationalised story” and already others who have attended the same convention have set the story straight in various forums – She did not badmouth MR but KS did confirm that she is due to have talks with the new showrunner soon. The only actual quote confirmed was that she did call what was going on with the show (behind the scenes turmoil?!?) a clusterfrak!!! Can’t argue with her there!

I think its just a simple case of somebody misunderstanding a sarcastic/cynical comment and just getting it wrong in the telling.

I hope that KS doesn’t leave the show but I know that I will continue to watch as I have continued to enjoy the show without her.

I’m hoping that now that the behind the scenes ‘revolving door’ seems to have settled down and once the writer’s strike is resolved they can concentrate on making the show achieve the full potential its capable of – JMHO;) Hopefully the rumoured January relaunch will set everything right….yes I live in hope because contrary to a lot of opinion I really like this show and want it to succeed:)

The two interviews I’ve seen (the most recent being MR on the Today Show shortly after the debut) indicated that KS and MR got along fine. I believe MR talked about them going out for drinks. As far as the rumour, I also took note that the Roadrunner blog entry did not contain any quotes from Katee herself, just other people’s interpretations.

If KS leaves the show, it may indicate that the whole storyline with Eurotrash, Anthros Sr., and Sarah will be jetisoned. It certainly seems as though a fork in the road has been taken with regards to that part of the story. Anthros Sr. has been irrelevant so far and Eurotrash hasn’t been seen since he told Anthros they had a lot of work to do. Apparently that work had nothing to do with BW.

KS has a loyal cult following on BSG, but she is not a huge Hollywood star (yet). I cannot believe she would be anxious to walk from a primetime network show, knowing that BSG was in its death throes. Especially since David Eick made her who she is today. I can understand, however, that she would not necessarily be pleased with the BW product.

I may be one of the few who doesn’t feel that Sarah Corvus is the best part of BW. In fact, I think the best episodes to date have been Sarah-free, including the series-best “Trust Issues”. This isn’t a reflection on KS, it’s just that her character is too unrealistic for my taste, more suited to a comic book than a spy drama. I would much rather see BW branch out into a serious action show than a weekly face-off between Jaime and Sarah, although, so far, action seems to be a 4-letter word as far as the writers are concerned.

BW has much work to do. I don’t think Sarah’s absence will be the ultimate tipping point.

I have mixed feelings about this. I agree that the show would not lose much if she were to leave, but it would be a huge embarassment to the prodcuers, since they invested a lot in the storyline to start the series, and got us believing it would be an important aspect to the storyline. It would just look really bad. To help neutralize this effect, they would probably need to overhaul a lot of other plot lines, and “start over” as Roco suggested in his post above. I guess I would rather have them kill the whole storyline and start over than just kill off Sarah.

I agree JoL, I think (or at least hope) that there was a misunderstanding in the reporting of Katee’s disappointment in the show! As Page 48 points out, all previous interviews featuring the pair suggest that they get on rather well. Also, having known of Michelle Ryan for a few years now, I just can’t imagine anyone having a bad word to say about her. Of course, one can never truly know until you meet a person!
Haha, I think you’re right about “Mr. Stitches’” work having NOTHING to do with BW, Page 48! Perhaps it’s related to the spin-off show that Isaiah Washington is rumoured to be doing next year, lol! More evidence of what happens to the direction of a show when it passess through too many different hands. Good shout about KS not being that ‘big’ in Hollywood yet. She does indeed have a massive cult following but it would seem bizarre that she would risk ‘cutting off her nose despite her face’ by distancing herself from the show and a fellow co-star. Then again, I’ve been led to believe that she is quite the rebel. Still, I doubt that she said what she’s been rumoured to have said about MR. Incidently, I’d love to be a fly on the wall for that meeting she’s got planned with the producers!
Jim, I agree with you – it would be an embarassment to the producers if KS left the show, although I do think the show would miss her. I think that she’s been great in her limited appearances, and I always got the feeling that she could offer more in a better framework.
