Michelle Claire Ryan (born April 22, 1984) is an English actress, best known for playing the role of Zoe Slater on the popular BBC1 soap opera EastEnders. She also starred as Katherine Reimer on the hit BBC drama, ‘Jekyll’. On ‘Bionic Woman’ Michelle plays the Jaime Sommers (aka the 2nd Bionic Woman)

Character Profile: Jaime Wells Sommers
Jaime Sommers is a 24 year old bartender who looks after her younger 15 year old sister, Becca. Her mother died of Cancer a few years back and her father is currently AWOL. Jaime was just an ordinary young women until a tragic car accident killed her unborn baby and left her life hanging by a thread. With death a certainty, her boyfriend (the real target of the ‘collision’) Will Anthros, installed her with the Bionic technology pioneered by his father, Anthony Anthros.
The operation was successful and Jaime’s life was saved. However, to her horror she found that her right arm, eye, ear and both legs had been replaced, she also discovered that she had been implanted with ‘Anthrasites’ which make her heal faster. In effect she had become half machine and all without her say so. That was the cost of living..
The company behind the technology (The Burket Group) now want her to work for them on their terms..Jaime has other ideas, but how long will she be able to stave off the machine within? How far will she go to save her humanity? What price will she pay to reclaim her identity?
That’s the thing, she’s not the only ‘Bionic Woman’..there’s an original who goes by the name of ‘Sarah Corvus’ (“tadaah”). Initially Jaime pales in comparison to the flamboyant, confident and strong Corvus..but she gains her respect and a mutual understanding appears possible..
